IBS
IBS or irritable bowel syndrome is a bowl related disorder; symptoms include constipation, diarrhea and bloating. Hypnotherapy and hypnosis can help IBS suffers by reducing stress levels, this is commonly cited as a key contributor to irritable bowel syndrome
Hypnotherapy can be used in a variety of ways to help an individual with IBS. Being able to have control over the stress cycle has been proven to lessen the effects of IBS. In certain situations previous traumatic events in a person's life have created blocks of unreleased emotions which has then manifested into IBS.
The stomach is a major feeling centre in the body which can absorb many emotions.
Constant worry and anxiety will create stress in that area of the body. Those with a sensitive nature will be more prone to distress in the stomach area.
The sacral and solar plexus chakras are two major energy points in the body which are associated with emotion, self-esteem, personal desire, personal control, relationships, being self-sufficient, fear of rejection and oversensitivity to criticism. When any of these aspects of the personality are unbalanced we can become prone to physical upset through the body creating a variety of stomach disorders.
Hypnotherapy can be used to restore balance through guided visualization and relaxation techniques. Each client is taught self-hypnosis.
