We all experience anxiety at some time in our lives. It is when it becomes overly intrusive to life that useful tools for dealing with it become benefical.

Anxiety is our mind and brains natural defense mechanism to dealing with perceived threat and danger. It is a way in which our thoughts and feelings about that which may happen in the future attempts to keep us safe by creating an inner fight or flight response. The bodies reaction is to release chemicals which allow this to happen. Simply put it is the result of an over active imagination which creates a very real chemical response in the body. This chemical response gives the feeling of being out of control.

A person experiencing anxiety shows that they have a powerful imaginations and very often is a sign of a good communicator and someone who has strong artistic qualities.

By using this strength of imagination in a postive direction anxiety can be lifted.

A properly trained hypnotherapist will be able to work with the individual to help bring about changes in thought processes and feelings which will allow for the anxiety to be under control. Each client is taught self-hypnosis.
